Tohoku University is accepting applications for the "Invitational Fellowship Program for Collaborative Research with International Researchers (外国人研究者招聘フェローシップ制度)". In this program, Tohoku University faculty members serve as host researchers and can invite researchers from overseas research institutions for a short period.

1. Purpose
By supporting research collaboration, the program aims to increase the number of international co-authored papers and citations in related fields and contribute to the formation and expansion of an international collaborative research community at Tohoku University.
2. Requirements to be invited
(1) Must be a citizen or permanent resident of a country having diplomatic relations with Japan.
(2) Be a full-time researcher at overseas research institutions at the rank of professor, associate professor, instructor, or assistant professor.
3. Invitation period
More than 1 month but 3 months or less
(Research at Tohoku University should start within fiscal year 2025)
4. Number of acceptances
Up to 15
5. Financial support
(1) Travel expenses: transportation, daily allowance, accommodation, overseas travel insurance (varies according to the status of the researcher)
(2) Research fund: Up to 150,000 yen
6. Materials to prepare
Application forms, etc. should be prepared and submitted by the inviting faculty member, including your CV.
