JASSO, the Japan Student Services Organization, released the application information for one of its programs, "Follow-up Research Fellowship for 2026."
This invites you to conduct joint research with your ex-supervisor and the relevant researchers.
If interested, please contact your supervisor on how to proceed.
*The deadline for the university is November 7, 2025 
・Beneficiary: Returnees from Japan with nationalities of developing countries and regions
・Eligibility: Under 45 years old. At least one year after returning from Japan
・Research period: 60-90 consecutive days
・Benefits: (1) Round-trip Airfare and (2) Daily allowance (¥11,000/day) for the recipient
*The "Remuneration for cooperation (up to ¥50,000) for the research advisor" mentioned on the JASSO site does not apply to Tohoku University since the project's guidance is the advisor's regular work.
