[Deadline: May 8] Emergency Scholarship for those who have had to stop the part-time job

Tohoku University has requested that students limit their activities on campus, and refrain from taking on part-time job that puts them at risk of the COVID-19 infection. To enable students to continue their studies under these severe ristrictions, the university is offering need-based financial aid through the Emergency Scholarship as part of its Emergency Support Package.

【Outline of the Emergency Scholarship】

1. Eligibility
Students who are facing financial hardship because they have had to stop their part-time job due to the coronavirus should apply. 
This includes all students regardless of year, program, or nationality.
Note: Students who are already receiving the Global Hagi Scholarship are not eligible.

2. Amount/Duration
Terms will be determined based on each applicant's needs and circumstances. Scholarships will be awarded in the order in which the applications are received/screened.

3. How to Apply
To ensure that no one is overlooked, application forms for the Emergency Scholarship will be distributed to all students.
Those who wish to apply should return the form through DCMail with the required information and a description of their current financial situation.

Application Deadline:
All applications must be received by Midnight on May 8, 2020
