The KDDI Foundation (KDDI財団) has released their scholarship application information for 2021.

◆ Eligibility Requirements:
Applicant must:
- be a student researching Information Technology or related area in the fields of Law, Politics, Economics, Social Science, and Science Technology
- be from target countries (see the application guide on page 5)
- be age of 35 or younger as of April 1, 2021
- be a self-financed international student enrolling in Master's or Doctoral program
* A graduate research student who is expected to enroll in the regular graduate program in April 2021 is NOT eligible
* The 3rd year of the Doctoral program student is eligible only when he/she expects to obtain the doctoral degree.

◆ Scholarship Amount:
100,000 yen/month

◆ Scholarship payment period:
For 6 months or 12 months from April 1, 2021

◆ Documents to submit:
- Application Form for KDDI Foundation 2021 Scholarship (incl. the page filled by your supervisor)
*The Excel form should be filled out by using PC (handwritten form will not be accepted.)
- Academic Transcript (of the undergraduate program, and if applicable, of the master's program as well)
*Not required for those who completed the undergraduate program of Tohoku University.
- Economic Status Report
- Copy of your residence card (both sides)

◆Submission
Send them to the Student Support Section by Friday, July 17
(First send the "Application Form for KDDI Foundation 2021 Scholarship" by e-mail then, send all documents in print either by postal mail or in-campus mail (gakunai-bin))

◆Notes
・As a rule, you can not apply for this one if you are receiving/applying for any other scholarships
・There may be a screening within the graduate school if there are more than one applicants with the same nationality.
