Tohoku University President Fellowship（東北大学外国人留学生総長特別奨学生）is now accepting the application for Academic Year 2021.

◆ Eligibility:
Those who satisfy ONE of the following conditions:
- Regular degree graduate students at Tohoku University
- Research students at Tohoku University
- Prospective students who are scheduled to enter Tohoku University in either April or October 2021

*Those who fall into the following conditions are not eligible to apply:
- MEXT scholarship students
- Students at Tohoku University exempt from the tuition payments under inter-university exchange agreements
- JSPS Research Fellowships for Young Scientists recipients
- Recipients of education or research grants in doctoral curricula of the Academia-Industry Collaboration Graduate Programs

◆Number of Grantees:
Approximately 10 students (university-wide)
*Application result will come out by March 2021.

◆ Scholarship Amount:
Equal to the amount of tuition fees (as of 2020)

◆ Scholarship payment period:
From April 2021 to until completing the standard course term for the curriculum

1. Application Form (Form 2-1)
*Must be prepared by the applicant in either Japanese or English
2. Recommendation Form (From 2-2)
*Must be prepared by the applicant's academic advisor
3. Academic Transcripts
*Submit transcripts (copies accepted) from undergraduate, or higher, universities
*Must be accompanied by an English or Japanese translation if it is another language

◆ Application Deadline:
Please contact the kyomu staff in charge of each department for the deadline.
(It is likely to be a few days prior to the deadline set by the Student Support Section at School of Science on Monday, January 25, 2021).
