2024 KDDI Foundation Scholarship (KDDI財団)

The KDDI Foundation (KDDI財団) has released its scholarship application information for 2024.


◆ Eligibility Requirements:
Applicant must:
- be a student enrolling in a Master's or Doctoral program
- be a student researching Information Technology or related areas in the fields of Law, Politics, Economics, Social Science, and Science Technology
- be from target countries (see the application guide on page 5)
- be an age of 35 or younger as of April 1, 2024
* A graduate research student who is expected to enroll in the regular graduate program in April 2024 is NOT eligible to apply
* A master's student who is going on to the doctoral program from April 2024 is eligible to apply
* In the 3rd year of the Doctoral program student is eligible to apply only when he/she expects to obtain the doctoral degree
*Only one international student can be recommended by his/her academic advisor

◆ Scholarship Amount:
100,000 yen/month

◆ Scholarship payment period:
For 6 months or 12 months from April 1, 2024

◆ Application Documents:

Prepare the following documents and send them to the Student Support Section via email:
・Application Form 1 (Word)
・Application Form 2 (Word)
・Recommendation by the academic advisor (Word)
・Certificate of Enrollment(PDF)
--> A scanned certificate issued by the certificate machine
・Academic transcript (photocopy is accepted)
--> From the undergraduate program to the latest one
・Economic Status Report as of July 1, 2023 (Excel)
・Residence Card (PDF)

◆ Application Deadline:
July 11 (Tuesday), 2023
