The School of Science offers both degree and non-degree programs for international students.
Please refer to the following program information to determine which program is suitable for your preference.

Degree Programs

[Undergraduate Programs]

• AMC (Advanced Molecular Chemistry Course)
  ・English program in the Chemistry Department
  ・October admission only

• Privately Financed International Students Entrance Exam（私費外国人留学生入試）
  ・Program taught in Japanese; you will study with Japanese students.
  ・April admission only

[Graduate Programs: Master's and Doctoral Program]
If you wish to enter graduate programs, you should first look for a prospective supervisor who affiliates in the Graduate School of Science. Before applying for the graduate program, you need to obtain consent from him/her to become your supervisor after admission. Contact them directly by email to obtain an acceptance to have you study under him/her.

• Research Student（研究生）
  ・The School of Science may accept those who wish to study a specific research topic as Undergraduate Research Students or Graduate Research Students, provided that there are no educational obstructions, depending on the results of the screening.

  ・The School of Science may accept those who wish to receive training at the School of Science.

Non-degree Programs for Students from Foreign Academic Institutions

[Exchange Program]
All the exchange program applications should be made from partner institutions. Please contact the international coordinator in your home institution.

• JYPE (Junior Year Program in English)
  ・For 3rd and 4th year of undergraduate students
  ・Program in English

• DEEP (Direct Enrollment Education Program)
  ・For undergraduate students
  ・Program in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent level of Japanese proficiency required)

• COLABS (Cooperative Laboratory Study Program)
  ・For graduate students
  ・Program in English

[Department Direct Exchange Scheme（部局直接配置）]
The followings are programs for international students both from partner institutions and non-partner institutions.
If it is a case that you are a student of the partner institution and cannot apply for the exchange programs (JYPE, DEEP, and COLABS), we could accept you under the Department Direct Exchange scheme, which is a scheme the School of Science directly accepts students as non-exchange program students.
