The Tokio Marine Kagami Memorial Foundation(東京海上各務記念財団) invites applications for the 2022 Scholarship for ASEAN International Students in Japan.

▶ Eligibility
〇 Applicants must be citizens of one of the ASEAN countries (*).
(Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam)
〇 Applicants must be enrolled in a regular graduate course as of April 2022.
(Excluding those who have less than one year remaining in their current course)
〇 Applicants should be able to communicate in Japanese or be willing to learn Japanese.
〇 Those who are not receiving any other scholarships or research support.
〇 Those who are interested in international exchange and can actively participate in various activities.
〇 Those who are not able to enter Japan can apply, but applicants who are in Japan on April 1, 2022, are given priority for the selection.

▶ Notes on Japanese language ability
・The interview will be conducted in Japanese, but it is possible to switch to English during the interview.
・The current level of Japanese will not affect the selection process.
・In principle, application documents should be written in Japanese, attaching documents in English can be allowed in order to describe research details.

▶ Scholarship Amount
180,000 yen/month

▶ Duration
Until the end of the minimum period of study in the regular course.

▶ Application Deadline
Wednesday, March 9, 2022
Submit the documents to the Student Support Section via postal mail and also inform your application via email.

▶ Attention
・We will inform you of a selection result within the Faculty and School of Science by March 23. After you pass a selection of Tohoku University, you will be recommended by the university.
・If you come to the university campus, you are allowed to visit and submit to the Student Support Section window in the Aobayama campus.
・If you have any questions, please email the Student Support Section.
・As a rule, you can not apply for this one if you are receiving/applying for any other scholarships
