Group A: Models beyond the Standard Model(Coordinator : Ryuichiro Kitano(KEK),Masahiro Yamaguchi(Tohoku Univ.))

The rationale to anticipate new physics beyond the Standard Model has not been diminished by the discovery of the Higgs particle whose properties are consistent with Standard Model expectations. In Group A, we will discuss models beyond the Standard Model at the Tera energy scale and above it with possible detection in future experiments. At the same time, we would like to argue future prospects and directions of particle theory as the quest for ultimate laws of physical nature.

Group B: Cosmology(Coordinator : Fuminobu Takahashi(Tohoku Univ.))

While the Lambda CDM cosmology gives an extremely good fit to various observations, there are many unknowns; what is dark matter made of, how the Universe was born and evolved into the present state, how the Universe was reheated after inflation, how the dark matter as well as the baryon asymmetry were created, etc. These issues cannot be answered without knowledge about physics beyond the standard model, and the recent discovery of the SM Higgs (alone) may provide us with an insight into them. We will discuss those cosmological issues as well as their interplay with particle physics beyond the standard model.

Group C: Sensitivities of Higgs, top quark and EW and BSM searches at the ILC(Coordinator : Keisuke Fujii(KEK), Akimasa Ishikawa(Tohoku Univ.))

Properties of a Higgs boson discovered at the LHC are consistent with the one in the Standard Model (SM) so far. Most of beyond the SM (BSM) physics predict extended Higgs sector and modify properties of SM like Higgs boson. However the deviations could be smaller than the sensitivities of current experiments. To determine the energy scale and parameters of BSM, both direct searches and indirect searches with model independent measurements of Higgs, top quark and electroweak (EW) are essential. In this group, we will discuss sensitivities of Higgs, top quark and EW measurements, direct BSM searches, and combined constraints on BSM at the ILC and compare with those by the LHC upgrades.

Group D : ILC Energy Extendability beyond 1TeV at the Kitakami Mountain Site(Coordinator: Kaoru Yokoya(KEK), Tomoyuki Sanuki(Tohoku Univ.))

The center of mass energy at the second stage of the ILC is around 1TeV. However higher energy is preferable to search for physics beyond the Standard Model and to study some properties of Higgs boson, like self-coupling. There are some possibilities to extend the center of mass energy of the ILC beyond 1TeV. The first is longer ILC. Kitakami mountain site in the Tohoku district is very good geological condition, so longer tunnel than 50km could be build. The second is higher acceleration gradient. The average cavity gradient of 37.5 MV/m has been already achieved which is higher than required value of 31.5MV/m. In coming 20 years, cavity technology could be advanced. In this group, we will discuss the energy extendability of the ILC from three aspects, geological condition at the Kitakami Mountain Site, accelerator gradient, and physics capabilities.

Group E : Tohoku forum Exciting Class: On our universe (from non-expert points of view)
(Coordinator: Motoko Kotani(Tohoku Univ.), Tomoyuki Sanuki(Tohoku Univ.))
