[ALL] Especially for Self-financed students: You are eligible to apply for a Working Permit (Permission to engage in an activity other than that permitted under the resident status) at the first airport you land in Japan. (TA, RA works are free from this. Only if you plan to work outside the school.) If you wish to work outside the campus, downloard the application form and submit it at the airport.
