    There are several ways to get to JR Sendai Station from Narita Airport.
    It depends on how much and how long you are willing to take.
    Check out the chart below and see which way is most suitable to you.

    Major Transportation from Narita & Haneda Airports to Sendai Station

    Please understand the following conditions:

    • If you are unsure how to buy a ticket at an airport/station, find a ticket office and tell your destination and time you want to arrive there.
    • DiRECT cannot arrange the Pick-up Service when its too early/late during the day.
      In such case, find someone else to pick you up or manage to reach your accommodation by yourself.
    • Allow enough time to transit to/from flights, trains, and buses.
      Especially Narita airport and stations in Tokyo area are very huge and complex, even for Japanese people.
      • Expect about 1-2 hours after the due arrival time in Narita Airport to pick up your luggage, find a ticket counter, buy a ticket, and to hop on Narita Express.
        Also expect at least 30 minutes in JR Tokyo Station to transit to Tohoku Shinkansen.

    • Narita Express (N'EX) only has reserved seats.
    • Shinkansen has three grades of seats:
      Green (priority, reserved), Reserved, and Non-reserved.
      Reserved seats costs about 500 JPY more than the Non-reserved.
    • Ticket reservation is recommended but not required.
      (Online reservation from the JR website require you to pick up the ticket by 9pm on the previous day of your ride and it is almost impossible for you to do so.)
    • Headding for JR Sendai Station, take either of a Shinkansen called Yamabiko, MAX Yamabiko, Hayate, Komachi, or Hayabusa.
    • You can purchase JR tickets at Automatic Ticket Vending Machines or at JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi) (‚έ‚Η‚θ‚Μ‘‹Œϋ)inside JR stations just before your ride.


    Keisei Electric Railway [‹ž¬“d“S]

    • Keisei Skyliner has reserved seats only, but ordinary trains doesn't require reservations.(but slow)
    • To get to JR Ueno Station, you'll have to exit Keisei Ueno Station and go across a road. Tokyo Metro (Subway) Stations are also connected underground.

    From Sendai Airport

    The easiest and cheapest way to JR Sendai Station from Sendai Airport is Sendai Airport Access Line (Railway). It only costs 630 JPY and takes about 20-30 minutes. The train station is located right next to the airport, and very easy to reach. "Sendai Airport" and "JR Sendai Station" are the terminal stations (end) of the line so that you'll never get lost or miss the stop! Ticket vending machines are right in front of the ticket gates. Press the "630" button on the touch-panel screen, insert a bill/coins for a ticket.
