Professor Dapeng Zhao of Department of Geophysics has been awarded the title of "AGU Fellow" by the American Geophysical Union (AGU). AGU is the largest geophysical society in the world, with approximately 60,000 members from over 130 countries. The AGU Fellow designation is an extremely prestigious honor granted to researchers who have made exceptionally significant contributions to the fields of Earth and space sciences. Since its establishment in 1962, the number of fellows is limited to less than 0.1% of all AGU members. Honors Ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 11 during the AGU Fall Meeting in Washington, D.C.
