On January 28th, the SyDE Program's regular student meeting was held in the SyDE Lecture Room (Physics Building, Graduate School of Science), featuring guest speaker Mr. Toshiro Sato (Okawa Densho no Kai).

As nearly fifteen years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake, this seminar aimed to understand how people have perceived disasters and processed their experiences. Mr. Sato delivered a lecture and engaged in a deep discussion with SyDE students, emphasizing the importance of transforming these past experiences into valuable lessons for the future.
